My daughter experienced great difficulties when having to adjust to the new school environment. It was hard on her to leave her old school and move to a new country…She struggled with engaging in school work and despite her high academic abilities it was very hard for her to carry on with her studies. – A.K.

Our sessions helped me to look at myself in a new way, to find a lot of interesting, new, positive characteristics in myself. – I.A.

I have worked as a school counselor and parent consultant in an international school setting for more than 15 years. My training and experience have been with Solutions-Focused Therapy, Brief Therapy, and also includes music therapy for an arts integrated approach. The Social Belonging philosophy is at the core of how I view challenges in people’s lives, and I draw on the tools from the Positive Discipline and Positive Psychology approaches.

Laura gave me very useful guidelines about school transitions…Our daughter started to be more receptive to what we (her parents) had to say and the whole process of going to school turned out to be more manageable for her. – A.K.

I work with adults and children after an initial online or in-person interview to understand your needs and for you to decide if you would like to work with me.

In general, it is best to meet in person for sessions, but if needed, we can arrange some sessions online.
